Prince Soma x Reader: His Goddess

“I just don’t know what to do anymore” you sighed hopelessly as you sat in a chair before Ciel Phantomhive, explaining your horrible predicament.


“So your father is marrying you off to repay his debts? That seems rather cruel” Ciel murmured as Sebastian handed you a handkerchief with a sympathetic smile.


“He’s basically selling me to the man who places the highest bid so he can give the money to the people he’s in debt to. Only noblemen may participate in the auction. I feel like I’m a cow being sold to the slaughterhouse” you hiccupped through your tears.


“My lord, we can always give her lord father the money and possess her” Sebastian suggested


“You forget, I’m already engaged. I don’t believe in having multiple wives” Ciel sneered in distaste at the thought and sipped his earl grey.


“Lady (y/n), how long is it until your father announces who buys your hand?” Ciel asked


“Two days from now” you answered quietly


“I see. May I ask you to return tomorrow to meet a friend of mine? He might be able to help your situation better than I can”  Ciel smiled slightly as you quickly dried your eyes.


“Thank you so much, Ciel” you leaned over and hugged him as he stiffened. You bid them farewell before leaving the manor to return home.


“I find it amusing how you allow only Lady Elizabeth and lady (y/n) to embrace you” Sebastian noted.


“Elizabeth is my fiancé, and (y/n)’s family is distantly related to the Phantomhives. She’s technically my third or fourth cousin once or twice removed. I forget the details, but I consider her family nonetheless” Ciel answered calmly.


~Other POV and timeskip~


“I am pleased that you requested my company, Ciel. Now what is it you wanted to discuss?” Prince Soma smiled as he sat in an armchair across from Ciel in the den. Agni stood behind him as Sebastian stood behind Ciel.


“I have a question for you. How do you feel about marriage?” Ciel asked as Soma’s eyes widened.


“I am sorry Ciel, but I do not believe a marriage between us would favor our reputations” Soma gulped as Ciel groaned and facepalmed.


“Not a marriage to the young lord, a marriage to a lady in need of a noble husband” Sebastian chuckled as Ciel shot him a glare for laughing.


“I see. Am I given the honor of meeting this lady?” Soma asked as a smile formed on his lips.


“Yes, she should be arriving shortly” Sebastian nodded as Agni slightly grinned.


“What is she like? Shouldn’t she marry another noble Englishman?” Soma asked curiously


“Lady (y/n)’s father is holding an auction tomorrow to sell her hand in marriage to the highest bidder. She’s strongly fearful of marrying a stranger. She wants to marry for love. However, should the two of you take fancy in each other, you could marry her. Her father would most like favor a prince marrying his daughter over a noble” Sebastian smirked


“I will have to study lady (y/n). I do not want to marry an old woman or anything of that sort” Soma nodded


“I am so happy your highness, you can finally marry and live happily ever after like in the English fairy tales!” Agni sniffled


“Don’t jump to conclusions yet, my friend. We’ll see how she fares” Soma smiled.


~Nobody’s POV and timeskip~


(y/n) ducked her head as she stepped out of her carriage, holding Sebastian’s hand for support.


“Right this way, my lady. Tea will be served in the garden this afternoon” Sebastian announced as you smiled and nodded. (y/n) followed behind Sebastian as he led her to the garden. She grinned as she saw Ciel but as her head turned, she quietly gasped and stood frozen where she was.


“Ah, lady (y/n), please meet my friend, Prince Soma” Ciel gestured to Soma as (y/n)’s eyes widened. She faintly blushed as she and Soma stared at one another.


“It is a pleasure to meet you, lady (y/n). I am Soma Asman Kadar, Prince of Bengal” Soma walked over to her as she froze. He kneeled down and gently kissed the back of her hand. (y/n) blushed darker as he led her to the table for tea.


~Soma’s POV~


I could not believe the woman before me was a mere human. (y/n) had the appearance of a goddess, with (h/l) hair with a radiant (h/c) color. Her eyes sparkled a bright (e/c) color as she gazed upon me. The goddess Lakshmi must’ve bestowed her with her beauty.


I smiled as she sat between me and Ciel. I watched her movements closely. She had incomparable grace and elegance. I was already enamored with her. I was determined to make her my bride.


I noticed Sebastian whisper something to Ciel as he rose from the table.


“I’m afraid you must pardon my absence, I have pressing business that I must attend to. Please continue to enjoy yourselves” Ciel murmured


“If you need anything, I’m sure Agni would be more than pleased to assist you” Sebastian added as he and the young noble walked back inside the manor.


~Your POV~


You couldn’t contain the mix of emotions you felt during that moment. Prince Soma was handsome in your eyes. The way his purple locks framed his face and how his golden eyes watched you intently. You had to avoid his eyes out of embarrassment.


“Ciel has told me your sad problem” Soma mumbled quietly


“I’m very afraid of getting engaged tomorrow. I want to fall in love and marry because I love the person, not because I’m force to” you added


“I agree. A woman should be free to marry whomever they wish” Soma nodded


“Sadly, many women are put in arranged marriages everyday. I’m no exception” you softly muttered as Soma reached over and took your hand in his. You blushed as you glanced into his eyes again.


“You of all the women in this country deserves a happy marriage” Soma stared intently into your (e/c) eyes and spoken in a solemn tone.


“I appreciate your thoughts, Prince Soma” you smiled


“If I may, can you tell me more about yourself as you join me for a walk in the garden?” Soma stood and offered you his hand. You nodded and took his hand as he led you around Ciel’s garden.


As you walked beside each other, you told him about your family, your passions, your dislikes, and you general personality traits. Soma in turn, told you about his life and how he befriended Agni, Ciel and Sebastian. With every word that left his lips, you found yourself falling deeper and deeper in love with him.


Unbeknownst to the both of you, Sebastian had his hands full with trying to keep Finny, Mey-Rin and Bardroy from interrupting your time together.


“I have never had so much fun before this day, thank you lady (y/n)” Soma chuckled


“You can just call me (y/n)” you chirped

“Then will you call me Soma in return?” he asked


“Of course” you giggled as you both stopped and gazed at Ciel’s luxurious fountain. Small pink flowers floated along the surface of the water.


“These are lotus flowers. They symbolize a pure heart and a pure mind” Soma reached down and gently cupped one in his hand. You gazed at its gentle pink and white petals.


“It’s so pretty” you cooed as Soma gently placed it back in the water.


“I have seen a flower prettier. Look” Soma gestured to the water and you looked back into the fountain.


“See that woman in the water? Her beauty does not compare to any flower I have ever seen” Soma murmured as you blushed and looked up at him.


Your eyelids drooped as Soma leaned towards you. Your eyes closed in sheer bliss as your lips met his. The kiss sent waves of warmth, love and passion from your head to your toes. You carefully rested a hand on his chest as one of his hands cupped your cheek.


You broke the kiss and gazed up into his soften golden eyes. He smiled and gently kissed your forehead.


“(y/n), will you grant me the honor of bidding for your hand in marriage tomorrow? I could not bear to see you whisked away into another man’s arms” Soma explained


“You may” you giggled as he intertwined his fingers with yours.


~Other POV~


“Looks like the two are getting along swimmingly” Sebastian gestured to the window for Ciel to see (y/n) and Soma close to one another. (y/n) was resting her head on Soma’s shoulder as the two were staring up at the setting sun.


“I’m glad the two of them will be able to share happiness together” Ciel faintly smiled.


~Nobody’s POV~


The dreaded day had arrived. Ciel and Sebastian sat amongst the audience of other fellow noblemen. (y/n) and her father stood on the platform stage.


Ciel, Sebastian and (y/n) watched and listened as men placed their bids. (y/n) fiddled with her fingers as she nervously awaited her prince to rescue her.


“Going once….going twice…” he father began


“One moment!” (y/n) smiled as Soma and Agni approached the stage. Your father narrowed his eyes and watched.


“I am Soma Asman Kadar, Prince of Bengal” Soma announced as hushed murmurs and whispers erupted. (y/n)’s father’s eyes widened in surprise.


“I am willing to pay any price for your daughter’s hand. I will double, even triple any man’s bid” Soma declared as (y/n)’s father’s jaw dropped and he nervously nodded.


“Seeing as how you’re a prince….do I have any princes or perhaps a king that can place a higher bid?” her father asked


“I’ll be a king if she’s my queen!!” Allistor Chambers gushed as Ciel and Sebastian both rolled their eyes.


“Then I grant you, Prince Soma, my daughter’s hand in marriage” her father announced as the men in the crowd groaned, cursed and hissed in disappointment.


(y/n) cried happily as she leaped into the prince’s arms. He smiled and held her close to him. Agni wiped away tears of happiness for the two as he watched his friend embrace his lover.


“Any man can treat a woman like a queen, but (y/n), I promise you that I will treat you better than a queen. I will treat you like a goddess. I will thank the heavens everyday for blessing me with you as my beautiful bride” Soma smiled as (y/n) eagerly pressed her lips against his. (y/n) wrapped her arms around his neck and tangled her fingers in his violet locks as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed her against him


“They finally got their happily ever after” Sebastian smiled as Ciel nodded in agreement.


“Thank you, Ciel and Sebastian. My prince wouldn’t have been able to have found happiness with (y/n) without your help” Agni sniffled


“No need to thank us. We were more than willing to help them” Sebastian added politely.



~Extended Ending~


“Young lord, I do believe you’ve received an exciting bit of mail” Sebastian handed Ciel the envelope as Ciel ripped it open with his letter opener.


“It’s an invitation to Prince Soma and (y/n)’s wedding. It’ll be held in a week” Ciel’s eye scanned the letter.


“Oh I do love weddings! Bassy, let’s get married!” Sebastian froze in slight terror at the sound of a certain red-headed grim reaper’s voice.
