Half-Cat!Finland X Sick!Reader

It was a week until Christmas. All you wanted this year was to be able to leave the hospital and spend the holidays with someone. Your parents couldn't visit your hospital because it was too far away. They had enough money to send you to a high-quality hospital to be treated. You had an incurable illness, or at least, an unknown one. Doctors had spent years trying to find a cure, or at least make a vaccine.

You had to be in the hospital to be monitored for your health in case you got worse. You had wearing hospital gowns, eating bland hospital food, strapped to an I.V, having painful shots injected into you, ect.

"Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas this year is someone to spend Christmas with, or at least have mommy and daddy visit. –Love, (y/n) Ps. I've been Nice all year" you smiled and finished writing your letter to Santa. You hoped it wouldn't be too much to ask for.

You pressed the button and the nurse walked in and checked all your monitors and charts.

"Can you send this to Santa for me?" you asked and handed her the envelope

"Of course I can" she smiled and gently took the letter and left your room. You sighed and looked out the window as the snow fell. You watched the snowflakes and smiled. Winter was your favorite season because of all the lovely snow. It was late as you looked up at the moon and stars. You made a wish that maybe you could spend Christmas outside of a hospital.

The day finally came, Christmas eve. You were fast asleep, hoping Santa would come and grant your wish.

"So this is (y/n) (l/n). I can't do much for her, but this'll work" Saint Nicholas smiled and placed a white kitten on your lap. He couldn't disappoint a little (age) year old girl who could die from this unknown illness and not even live to see another Christmas.

"Take good care of her Tino. When the time is right, you'll become human and take my place. But for now, she needs you as you are" the kitten meowed and nodded.

Saint Nicholas left and drove his sled off into the night to deliver presents to the rest of the world.

You woke up the next morning feeling something furry on you. You looked down to see a fluffy white kitten purring at you.

"Santa granted my wish!" you cheered and hugged the kitten. You looked at the bow around his neck.

"Tino? I like it! You'll be my Tino!" you giggled and hugged the kitten close to you.

Several years later, you were released from the hospital. Doctors finally discovered that your illness shows weaker and little to no symptoms in cold weather. Hot weather would make your illness worse. They also gave you strong medication in case it acted up. Now you were free to live your life without the hospital. You could breathe fresh air and enjoy the scenery for the first time since you were small.

"This is our new home Tino" you announced as you unlocked the door to your cabin-like home. It was warm and comfortable just how you liked it. You peered out the window at all the fresh snow sprinkling down.

"It'll be kind of lonely here considering nobody lives in a cold place like this. But at least I have you" you sighed and stroked Tino's head. He purred and closed his eyes.

"I wish I had a human to keep me company" you sighed and laid on your bed. Then you looked over at Tino and realized he was gone.

"Tino, Tino?" you looked around and tried to find him. Then a boy came out of the bathroom.

"Who the heck are you!?" you asked and backed away from him.

"(y/n)! It's me Tino! Please believe me!" he explained. He had blonde, almost white hair, and the same soft purple eyes your Tino had.

"How did you turn human?" you asked curiously

"remember that Christmas wish you made when you were little, in the hospital? Santa made it come true. He said I'd become human again to be with you and take over his position as Santa Claus" he explained and you nodded and tried to understand.

"So does this mean you'll leave me because you have to be Santa Claus?" you began sniffling and crying at the thought of Tino leaving you.

"No, no, no! I'm not leaving you alone!" he panicked and hugged you.

"How?" you murmured

"I'll make you my Mrs. Claus" he smiled and held you close.

"Really?" you asked

"Of course (y/n)! Rakastan sinua ( I love you)!" he looked deeply into your (e/c) eyes and smiled.

"I love you too Tino" you smiled as he leaned down and kissed you.

"so if you were told this by santa, were you always a cat?" you asked

"No, he turned me into a cat. If i could make a child happy, then i was ready for the job. I even got to make you my Mrs. Claus" he explained

You smiled and kissed him. This kiss was more passionate and tender. His arms went around your waist and yours went around his neck.

"I promise you'll never be alone" he whispered and pecked your cheek affectionately.

"I never would've imagined my cat turning into a human who gets to be Santa Claus" you giggled as he nuzzled your neck and chuckled

"I love you Tino, you'll always be more than Santa Claus to me" you muttered and pressed your forehead to his.

"I love you too (y/n). You'll always be more than Mrs. Claus to me. Forever and always" Tino smiled and laced his fingers with yours and kept you close to him.
