Rayquaza was king of the skies. Free to fly wherever he pleased and had not a care in the world. But he had begun to feel a strange feeling, it was as if something was missing to him. Something he needed but did not have. He felt an emptiness inside of him he could fathom.

“Please no!” Rayquaza looked down to see villagers from a small town near Rayquaza’s Sky Pillar.

“Rayquaza needs a more suitable offering or it won’t protect us anymore or give us bountiful winds to power the windmills we need to make food!” a villager explained as they led a young woman to the Sky Pillar’s highest level. The winds blew her (h/c) colored (h/l) lengthed hair out of her face to show her (e/c) colored eyes.

“But Rayquaza will kill me or eat me!” the young woman cried

“Then we will have one less mouth to feed” they answered as they left her crying on the roof of the Sky Pillar. Rayquaza flew down as the girl closed her eyes and braced herself. Rayquaza transformed and gently took her hand in his.

“I will not kill you” he murmured to her as she opened her eyes and looked up at him. He shrugged off a layer of fabric and handed it to her. She felt the soft fabric in her hands and noticed its design.

“That is a Sky Robe. It will keep you warm and has other magical properties to keep you safe” he explained as she gently placed it over her body. Rayquaza looked at her and held out his hand as she took it and stood on her feet.

“let’s go” Rayquaza transformed as (y/n) hesitantly climbed on his back and held on tightly as Rayquaza lifted off the ground and flew towards the mountains. Rayquaza took over an abandoned shrine as his home. He collected paintings and objects with him on it as trophies of sorts. (y/n) climbed off his back and cautiously approached the shrine-like home. The screens were elegant and neatly done and the place was well kept.

“This place is beautiful” she smiled as Rayquaza walked inside with her.

“Tell me your name” he spoke as she turned to look at him.

“Oh, it’s (y/n)” she answered as he nodded his head and walked towards a pile of cushions and laid down before shutting his eyes. (y/n) quietly went to the kitchen and noticed it was filled with food. She made tea for the two of them and set it down on the table as Rayquaza’s eyes snapped open.

“Thank you” Rayquaza murmured as he sipped his tea while (y/n) sat beside him.

Years had passed as (y/n) continued living with Rayquaza. (y/n) was more and more worried as the days grew on and she realized that she looked the same as she had years ago.

“Rayquaza…..why am I not aging? I should look older” she asked as Rayquaza wrapped an arm around her waist.

“The Sky robe slows down the aging process. I asked a favor of Dialga since I am to be with you forever” Rayquaza explained

“If you remove it, you will age” he added as (y/n) nodded and kept the sacred robe on.

“(y/n) do you enjoy being with me?” he asked as (y/n) looked up at him and smiled

“Of course. You saved my life and take care of me” she answered as Rayquaza nodded.

“Will you be my wife?” Rayquaza asked as she stood stunned.

“But you’re a pokemon” she muttered as Rayquaza narrowed his eyes and stared down at her

“I am the only companionship you’ve got. There is no way to get off this mountain other than flying and the people of your village abandoned you. I thought all human women dreamed of marriage. Becoming my wife won’t change the dynamics of our relationship, I will and have always loved you” Rayquaza spoke as (y/n) blushed and hugged onto Rayquaza.

“Many years from now, people will speak of you” Rayquaza murmured as he placed a pendant around (y/n)’s neck that held a large green stone.

“I love you Rayquaza” (y/n) smiled as Rayquaza held her tightly to his chest and smoothed her hair. Rayquaza leaned down and passionately kissed her as she wrapped her arms around him.

“…That is the legend” an old woman finished as the trainer looked up at the Sky Pillar. Was it true that a woman was given to Rayquaza as a sacrifice and ended up its wife and companion?

“Some say if you’re lucky, Rayquaza may fly under the ozone layer with its companion. People have started calling her the Sky Maiden. Another rumor is that they married beneath the stars, on a cloud” The old woman smiled

“Thank you for the story” The trainer smiled as he looked to the sky and noticed a pokemon, long and green. It roared before transforming and changing form into a more fierce appearance. He squinted as he faintly noticed a person riding the pokemon. It was a woman with flowing (h/l) (h/c) colored hair and she wore a flowing robe. Had the legend been true all along?
Here's Rayquaza! Up next is Hoopa! I plan on doing the rest of the legendaries for my Gijinka (human) pokemon series. If you'd like to request one to get done sooner, comment on my journal page. I do not own the picture but I do own the story!!

Please leave a nice comment and watch me for more stories!!!~
