Egypt x Reader: Arabian Nights

~Oh, I come from a land, from a faraway place
Where the caravan camels roam
Where they cut off your ear
If they don't like your face
It's barbaric, but hey, it's home~

“Oh my lord it’s hot!” you screeched as you trudged through the hot sands of the vast deserts. Your camel had decided to be stubborn and refused to allow you to ride it’s back. You were the country of (c/n), and the heat of the eastern deserts was unfamiliar to you.

“I hope I’m close to Egypt’s home” you sighed and looked at your crumpled and wrinkled map. You were supposed to deliver a package to Egypt from Turkey. He gave you plenty of water, food and supplies as well as his best camel for the journey.

You squinted in the heat of the bright scorching sun’s rays. A black creature sat in the sand and stared at you. You could’ve sworn it was a dog. You must’ve been hallucinating from the heat and shook your head and sipped your water.

The dog barked and snapped you out of your daze. This dog really wasn’t an illusion!


“Come here boy! Here puppy!” you called to the black canine as it stood and darted away from you. You jogged after it as your camel trotted behind you. You followed the dog through the thick golden sand. You paused as you noticed the dog had led you to a small village in the desert. The dog turned to look at you and continued walking.

“Does he want me to follow him?” you asked yourself and shrugged before walking after it. You walked through the village and watched the people. Children ran in the streets, women chatted and swept the streets or hung laundry to dry. The men bartered and traded at stalls of goods and items they had for sale.

This village seemed untouched by time in this modern age. Everyone wore old fashioned clothing and seemed to be from centuries ago. You felt like a time traveler in comparison.

Hop a carpet and fly
To another Arabian night~

The dog barked and gained your attention once more and you pursued it. You gazed in awe when you had followed the dog to the steps of a large palace-like house towards the outskirts of the village. You cautiously followed the dog as it trotted up the steps of the large building.

A man walked towards you with a small smile. He bowed his head before taking your camel’s reigns whilst a robbed woman bowed and gently grabbed your hand. She somewhat dragged you inside the house as you tried explaining to her you were just a traveler. She kept nodding her head but you wondered if she understood you.

She opened the door to a large room that appeared to be a throne-room. A man with fairly tanned skin and piercing emerald eyes stared at you. He had gold bangles and jewelry adorning him, yet he wore simple clothing that covered his body except for his arms. Beside him, the black dog had its eyes close contently as the man stroked its head in praise.


“Well done, Anubis. You brought my guest to me successfully” he chuckled as the dog wagged its tail.


“So you’re Egypt” you murmured. He blinked his emerald eyes and nodded. He stood from his arm chair and walked towards you.


“Sadik told me he was sending a desert flower to my oasis. I sent Anubis to guide you here” He explained as you blushed at his compliment. He gently grabbed your hand and led you to the plush pillow seats beside his chair.


“You must be tired, rest and relax. Ask me for anything you need or want” he mentioned as you sat on a plump red pillow and crossed your legs. Anubis sniffed your arm and wagged his tail when you patted his furry head.

“So what was inside the package that Sadik had me deliver to you?” you asked


“Recipes for various dishes. I’m the only person he trusts with them” he answered calmly as a servant brought him a bottle of wine and two glasses.

More often than not
Are hotter than hot
In a lot of good ways~


“Sadik underestimated your beauty. Cleopatra would’ve loved to meet you” he mused as you blushed darker and ducked your head down shyly.


“Thank you for having me” you politely nodded as he reached his hand down and traced your jaw line with his fingertip. You stayed still as his green eyes examined you and gazed at your own (e/c) eyes.


“It would be a pleasure to have you stay here for a while longer, if you’d like” he murmured as you smiled.


“Thank you for your hospitality Egypt” you giggled as you sipped your wine. Egypt clapped his hands as several servants brought you food and cold water. After talking and laughing with Egypt from exchanging conversation, jokes and stories, he escorted you to the bedroom he provided you with.

(Egypt’s POV)

Egypt gently shut the door to your room after bidding you a pleasant night’s rest. He walked over to his telephone, the only technology he really used and dialed Sadik’s number.


“Gupta, my friend! Has (y/n) arrived yet?” Sadik asked as he could hear the smile in his voice.


“Yes, she just went to sleep for the night. She’s had a long day. You didn’t tell me she was so beautiful…” Gupta sighed.


“My apologies my friend, I take it you’re enamored with her already?” Sadik laughed


“I may be. I am still unsure, but my heart may be telling me I am” Gupta answered


“I hope she decides to stay with you, or perhaps return your feelings” Sadik suggested


“I think that is a possibility. But thank you for the package and for bringing her to me” Gupta muttered


“It was no trouble. Take good care of her while she’s there. Good night my friend” Sadik chuckled as he hung up. Egypt glanced out the window up towards the bright white moon’s glow. He smiled to himself and walked down the hall to his room. Having (y/n) with him was going to make this an interesting night, and more interesting days to come.
